Most of the guys are still not giving their IT background. I think following info would be good for all IT guys.

Actual IT experience
Type of work being done in Canada ( Can be in IT or Non IT)
Any additional study done to get good IT job in Canada

About myself..
I am oracle financial Functional Consultant having background in IT and Finance.
Would be landing mid of April '05.

OK!
I am a senior SAP consultant ....I got job in Canada via my solid project experience in US.
Other than that my engineering degree and working experience in key industries (like Manufacturing,Construction equipment,FMCG,Oil,Aerospace) also helped me in building up my profile which attracted my Canadian employer.
I believe in ERP area Canadian companies are behind than the USA companies as far as project management and resource skill set is concerned.I just had my appraisal for the last year and I am the only person in my team who got "outstanding"rating ...in USA I worked with consultants whose skill sets are much higher ..though I am working for one of the biggest Canadian SAP implementing company.
So my understanding is Indian guys should be able to perform good in ERP areas in Canada

Count me in as well.

Currently a Sen. Systems Analyst with the Provincial Govt (primarily focussing on ITIL/ ITSM initiatives on the infrastructure side) - My previous experience is in Apps Development/ Support (Oracle, VB, Crystal Reports) & ERP implementation (Oracle Apps - Order Entry/ Inventory) in the Manufacturing Petrochemical, Natural Gas industries. I embarked on a mini-adventure in SAP - Got myself certified in 3.1H but did not stay on for too long due to some personal commitments. Couldn't really find my way back later but just as well, I should say, I'm content....

What are the prospects for a CPA with SAP FI/CO qualifications. What sort of salaries can one look foward to in Toornto?.

Actual IT Experience - 19 yrs (of which 10 yrs in Canada, rest in Bombay)

Type of work being done in Canada - IT Manager, TD Bank

Any additional study done to get good IT job in Canada - No studies done to get my 1st job. Subsequently done courses to keep my skills uptodate, which I'm sure is true for any profession. All the courses were paid by the employer
