Landing in Toronto- Things to get and Taxi details

I will be coming to canada on Sunday 24th April. Do I need to get warm clothes in my hand baggage ( would i need them immediately on leaving the airport?)
I have a one year old daughter and i had read somewhere that you require a taxi with a baby seat if your child weighs less than ten kgs.. Is that true. How do i go about requesting for one.
I would be staying in North York. Do I need to book a taxi from inside the airport or do i hail one after coming out.
Also I would be getting Parampara masalas and ITC ready to eat/cook packages fro the first one week or so. is that advisable. Does customs allow to get this stuff into the country? Is it worth the extra weight.

You might need warm clothes as it might be cold on that day. You never know! Check the temperature before you depart from India.

You can get taxi from the airport. Yes if your baby weigh less than 9 kgs you will need a baby seat. Nowe I am not sure about baby seats requiremets in the taxi for the newcommer. May be you can call the airport and they might provide you some information.

Any packed food is not a problem for customs.

IMO, the requirement of child seat is not for taxis.

Definitely get warm clothes with you in your hand bag. Two days ago it was HOT 27deg but today it is so chilly! The weekend is going to be cool so better not take any chances.

Desi stores sell these "heat and eat subzi" from India for about $2 per packet. May be it costs Rs 30 in India, I do not know for sure.
