This website has lot of information and is great help to lot of people!
I have got my Canandian PR and I want to land in Canada soon.I will appreciate to get the answer to the following questions related to the application for the PR Card:
(a)Does a new immigrant need to fill the details of address/employment details for past 5 years ?
(b)Does a new immigrant need to get documents notarised (1st page of First page of Passport/photographs/landing paper IMM5292 etc)
Thanks,
Rohit
Have you got PR Card without landing?
I am bit confused from your question. Usually you will get your PR card on airport, so why you need to worry about your last 5 year history?

Garvo:
PR card is not issued at the airport. It is mailed to the address provided upon landing [or new immigrant has to provide address within 180 days of landing].

Has anybody applied for the PR card recently, say in August or something? (I'm not talking about new immigrants, talking about people who've been here for a year or more).
After sending in the application, how much time does it take for them to send a letter asking you to pick it up?

Are you there?
I am sorry for the confusion.I have got canadian PR status(immigrant visa) and am planning to apply for PR card after landing .
However I wanted to fill the form in advance (since I am in U.S. only and do not plan to spend too much time in Canada right now because of my job here)
So my question is
(a)Does a new immigrant need to fill the details of address/employment details for past 5 years ?
What should new immigrant do in that section-leave it blank/write NA (Not applicable) ?
(b)Does a new immigrant need to get documents notarised (1st page of First page of Passport/photographs/landing paper IMM5292 etc)
If we need to get it notarised I will not be able to complete the form and submit it at the airport .
Thanks a ton
Rohit
