CORRECTION: MOST JOBS AVAILABLE TO IMMIGRANTS IN CANADA ARE SURVIVAL JOBS........
Just a quick question on what do you mean by survival jobs. I am currently in the US and I have really not come across the term survival jobs whether it is a working in a convenient store or being an engineer. Could someone please explain!!!!!!
Hi,
If you are able to accumulate good savings in Oman in three years, then I suggest that you move after three years. The advantange will be enough accumulated savings to invest in a house in Canada, your children will have a good base in Maths and Science in the CBSE syllabus plus you will have more time in hand to decide the future.
Don't worry about your age, as I see Canadian employers do not care if you are 43 or 46 years. I have come across people in Canada working at the age of 65 and 75 unlike the Middle East or even India - so if you move to Canada at 43 or 46, it does not matter. I have come across somewhere the retirement age limit will now be increased to 69 years in the US and Canada.
After 3 years if you decide not to move to Canada, you can always send your elder son to Canada for his final year in school and University education thereafter. His PR status can be thus retained and he will get citizenship even if you decide not to move.
Thereafter you can continue to earn tax free income in the Middle East and when you want to retire, your son can sponsor you and your wife to Canada as dependants.
