About buying 2-3 apts of around 220 K each and renting them instead of buying a single Family home worth 500-600 K and then working all life to pay it off . Do u think this makes sense .

Would getting a Mortgage for apts be in an issue in this case even though you could be approved for 600K of financing .

We will find a way or we will make one

Some of my husband's friends who are here for many years are suggesting something like this to him. This way they say , you can use the rent amount towards paying off the mortgage.And finally the house is going to be yours and the prices of the houses go up anyway.
I am finding people who own a 3 or 4 bedroom house, are renting atleast a room to help pay off the mortgage. Unable to judge which is better.
