Dear CD'S,
If a person is on H1B for 6 years and applied for US GC then extended his H1B for 7th year on the basis of GC applied during his 6th year. Now my question is if you dont want to carry on your US GC and want to convert into TN. Can you transfer from H1B to TN within US? Or do you need to come out of the country and get TN? Will there be any problem doing so? Will they question why do you want to convert to TN when you've applied for GC and you're in your 7th year end on H1B? Any advice will be helpful.
Thanks,
Canadiandream
TN visa needs to be applied at any border while entering US from Canada, There is no other way to obtain TN visa withinh US. Also, prepare the answers regaring your GC and entering US on TN as TN is supposed to be non-immigrant visa. There is infact a question on the form....if you have applied for permanent residence in US?
I am presently working in USA and have already applied for US GC.
Very recently I received Canadian PR and wanted to know about TN Visa.
Only Canadian Citizen can apply or Canadian PR are also eligible for TN.
kINDLY ADVICE,
Thanks*
Only cdn citizens
