Hi All,
2 months back we successfully landed in Canada and went back to USA.
At that time we only declared 15,*** amount required for family of 3 individuals.
Now we have completed immigrated to Toronto and are thinking for transfering all of our saving to Canada.
But since we didn't declare that amounts at the time of landing ....will there be any tax issue/ problem ??
Kindly advice. Any suggestions will be helpful.
Thanks!
First of all, if you have even the slightest worry about the declaration of money while landing, whether done rightly or wrong, you cannot call your landing as successful! something which might be right but still worries you and puts you in doubt, cannot be termed successful in my view
IMO, what matters is your declaration when you file your first income tax return as a landed immigrant - your declaration on your first application or at the immigration check point does not matter.
