Landed successfully at Vancouver, but....

Finally WE successfully landed at Vancouver and came back to USA!

BUT the Immigration officer asked US to come and collect the PR card in person at Vancouver office. I don't have any idea why he asked to come and collect it!!(I actually gave DUNCAN address ~ 2 hours from Vancouver)
The immigration office told me that I will be receiving a letter saying that I should go to Vancouver office and collect the PR card inperson.

I had one time entry landing VISA to Canada. I can't use this know. How should I go to Canada and get the maple card in person?

Any suggetions/advice will be greatly appreciated......

Better apply for a travel document as soon as possible, With this Travel document you can re-enter Canada without PR card.
However you can consult an Immigration attorney as well, but not sure if anything can be done in this case.

Hi,

If you are travelling by road in a private vehicle, with the copy of COPR, u can enter Canada.

Please excuse me in case I am ignorant ...
Could you specify, where it is written that one can re-enter with a COPR ? As far the law goes a PR card is a must for all starting Dec 1st 2003. or one must obtain a Travel Document in lieu of PR card.

There you go.... in this case, the gentleman is "re-entering" after he landed and returned to US.

Ofcourse he did apply for a PR card from within Canada ( by submitting the communication address etc)
but he is asked to pick the PR card in person.

So NO OTHER OPTION EXCEPT to get the TRAVEL DOCUMENT.

any other opinions please..... ?

Apply for travel document. Should not be a problem..
