Hi ,

Which is a recommended place to get required modifications done on the vehicle as well as federal inspection done on imported car from USA?

People are suggesting not to go Canadian Tire for modifications though one has to go to them for federal inspections.

I do have Honda , so anyone out there who have gone through this earlier, pls let me know or atleast send me a PM so that i can contact u directly.

You should also get provoncial safety check done in ontario. And make sure you call the insurance company in the US and ask them for 'No Claims letter' (if you haven't ever made a claim in the US). That makes a big difference with your insurance premium here.

Hi Pramesh, you will have received a letter from RIV which contains a list of authorized inspection centers. Most of the inspection centers also do modifications. Call up the ones conveniently accessible to you and ask them for their fees for both modification and inspection. Their fees vary enormously. Call around and go with the lowest quote.
