11 MPs shown taking cash to raise questions in the House.....
I would say that corruption is the major problem in India. Many people enter politics to just make money or after having made money in crime. It is because of corruption that many of us leave India for other countries.
It is good that the media is playing a part in exposing the corrupt MPs.
Thanks & rgds.

Hi,
The story is the same in any part of the world, we follow our country, as we are aware of the past, What we read in news paper here, the same drama goes on here too, degree of corruption may vary, amount may vary, but fundamental issues remain, it is human, and I am tending to think it is natural human greed, abuse of power is exists and is accepted by & large.
We(by We, I mean common public) can certainly make the difference, by not offering bribe, to any one.
Is it practically possible in India? It has become the system, and everybody has accepted it
Over here we do not see the corruption on the petty levels we are used to see in our country, but that has its own reasons.
It is a dream , even to attain the level what we see here.
This is my opinion ,

Whenever you experience joy, peace, security, equanimity or purity, it is only because you are aligned with ALMIGHTY.
India is a small picture in the context of bigger world. What do you think the the Lobbyists in Washington DC are? Sure, they will have the Congressmen ask a question for million US greenbacks and not lousy 5000 Rupees.
The politicians everywhere are at it. India is no exception.

all is well that ends well
The MPs have been expelled from the parliament which is maybe a first of its types in India.
Hope it leads to something better. Politicians will definitely be more afraid of openly indulging in corruption.
Moral of the story is "Indulge in corruption, do not get caught".

Funding for elections is the core issue.
Unless this is resolved even the best of people have to look up to someone for meeting these expenses. This initiates a vicious cycle of favours and corruption.
