Ani,
What Snowfall meant was how to transact in Indian shares from Canada and doing the Dmat stuff and all that.
I am aware that ICICI allows NRI's from the gulf to use its website for transactions online from the gulf but not from Europe or NA.

To Snowfall : If you have your family member from india who can visit a broker and give your orders , then you still can buy and sell shares through that family member in india.
I am going to ask my dad (who invests in shares) to do so in my name.

Does any one know a good website which offers tips/info. about indian penny stocks and other good stocks?

Thanks for going through my post.

TK

HDFC Securities Inc. provides online trading. You can have a bank account and demat account that can be linked....the svc is not available in USA due to SEC regulations.....I do not know abt Canada though....I believe there should not be any problem

you can check the same at http://www.hdfcsec.com" rel="nofollow">LINK

Reachash,
You have given a very good link, thanks for the same, but ICICI Direct.com is also a very good site. You can open an three in one account in it. It will consist of Demat account, trading account and saving account. This facility is available for NRI's also. And ICICI bank has branches is Canada also. So once you open the account and have sufficinet funds in your saving account. You can buy and sell online, the purchased shared will automatically tranfer in demat account and amount will be debited from your saving account. As the same when you will sell the shares it be automatically adjust in your demat account and amount will be send to your saving account.

You this is very good site for online trading.

Glad that someone got the attention of Indian stock market. IMO, there is more movement (volatile?) in the Indian stocks than Dow or TSX. I was looking for info for sometime.

Thx for the links.
