Does anybody have enrolled in Optionetics training?

Is their guarantee of tripling your investment in tution cost in 6 months too good to be true?

Any one giving guarantee about investments is basically fooling you. No pundit in the world knows how stocks move. If that was the case anyone can convert one dollar into 100 Thousand dollars in a matter of one year.

I thought I would give some details. Optionetics markets their training courses. The investment in the training course is about $ 3k. Two days workshop only. My understanding of how it works is you buy shares in a certain company. Then you immediately buy options which is like insurance against the loss. So you pay premium for a period. In this period if the share price goes down the insurer gives your loss back. Everything is legal. You insure thru the stock exchange in my case it would be Toronto Stock Exchange. So if the price goes up you sell the shares and price goes down you sell your shares and collect losses from insurer. The gurantee is that you would make triple your investment of $ 3k in 6 months.

Sounds good in principle. Just wanted to know if anybody has any experience. The guy who developed the program is a retired fund manager.
