Well I thought those questions were more about knowing your general knowledge than assessing whether or not the ladies were brainy.
I've seen episodes of Millionaire where the guy or gal is extremely clever but when they get asked a pop culture question, they are in trouble and don't know the answer...not because they are dumb but becasue they don't have good general knowledge.
