Hi Guys,
I recently became a Canadian and also got my Cdn passport . At the same time I also hold my old Indian passport.
Can you please let me know if I can keep my indian passport for my travel to India or do i need to apply for a visa / surrender my passport?
Does India grant dual citizenship? how to proceed from here?
Thanks for your help.
Alex

Hi,
Do I have to surrender my Indian passport when I apply for PIO or any other Indian Visa to visit India.
Thanks
Alex
You'll have to submit your Indian passport the first time you are applying for a visa. They will cancel your Indian passport and send it back to you. Once you receive an Indian visa, you need not carry your Indian passport anymore when traveling to India.

I recently received my new Indian passport after full expiry of my old one.
That new passport had a note somewhere on first few pages. It states something like this: "You will return your Indian passport to Indian consulate if your receive citizenship from other country"
