I filed my parental sponsorship case in 2001 and at that time I was meeting LICO amount requirements. It has been approved from CPC Mississauga. I could not meet LICO amount requirements in 2002. Will this effect the application at Canadian High Commission New Delhi?

As per regulations, the visa officer may ask for the income requirements. about your income for the year 2002 and even for 2003. It has happened in many cases where the Visa officer has rejected the cases on the basis of current income even though CPC Mississauga approved their cases.

If your income for these years is short of the permissible LICO amount, it could be the issue.
It is upto the visa officer to raise any additional requirement before the final decision is made on the applicatoin.

Not quite accurate, sorry. There is something called lock-in date. Your application is first assessed in Mississauga by a certain date [the lock-in date]. If your LICO was calculated properly and supporting documents provided, I see no reason why an officer would need to know your current LICO and/or refuse your application. If application is refused at this stage, it will be easy to appeal and/or settle. However, if your documentation is not complete, Missisauga may ask for more info [which have to be up to date].

With due respect to the previous posting, we have come across few cases which have been rejected by Canadian High commission on the same grounds.

I think no one should wait for the rejection and file appeal. It should be handled in advance before it is too late

Anyways, everybody has the option and right to give/his opinion.
