I have been following several post here and I am under impression that getting your parents in Canada is not an easy job. Can you please help me with various options for getting them in to Canada?

1.Are you a Canadian PR or Citizen ?.

2.You need to be a PR and you need to meet the LICO as it keeps changing periodically.

3.The LICO can be obtained from the CIC application for sponsporship.

4.As there is no job stability you need to maintain the job for atleast one year to file your taxes and provide that information as proof of LICO.

5.I think( I stand corrected) that for a family of 4 plus sponsporship of a parent you need to have a Gross Income of $47,000 PA.

6.The current financial clearance for a parent is taking nearly 40 to 42 months at mississauga and another 15 to 24 months for visa stamping in India. You can safely assume the total time of 5 to 6 years after you land and make a salary of CAD 47,000.That is nearly 7 to 8 years after landing.


It is not impossible BUT you need to plan everything while the time chuggs along.

While you do all this some parents come here and do not like and they go back to India.
