I was thinking of sponsoring my parents, a couple of questions:
Currently my wife is not working, should I add her as a Co-Sponsor or not? Though my current income is above the Low Income Cut Off, just in case if the income dips below that mark in the next 3yrs (or if we have kids during that period). I can show my wife’s income. Would it make any difference if I fill the Co-sponsor column and not show her income?
Does the sponsor have to wait for at least 12months to show that he/she is meeting the low income cut off. Say like the year 2009 tax income (tax filed in 2010) one was not meeting the LICO but he/she get a new job in say Jan or 2010 and his/her income goes past the LICO. Can he/she file for parents immediately or wait for one more year?
Appreciate your response.
