Hi All,
Just have a question regarding LICO, last year (2009), I was making less than the LICO cutoff and I was not eligible to sponsor my parents. My wife was not working as well but this year starting beginning of January I got a new job where I am meeting the cutoff. My question is, do i have to wait for one year to sponsor my parents as I will be getting my notice of assessment and T4 with the current income only next yr....or can I apply right now...
Please guys ....appreciate your response..
Sirji,
Are you in Canada ?.
Do you live in a place where many other Indians and Srilankan Tamils live ?.
Do you see them trudging and doing their Tim Hortons or McDonald Jobs and haven't you realized by now that they will not be able to meet the criteria as they will not able to meet the LICO just based on T-4.
Still their whole village is here. How do they do it?.
Figure it out ASAP!.
There are ways to meet the LICO !.
Consult your fellow desi and a whole operation/installation manual with a step by step instructional video will come out.
Sirji in Canada you need to be street smart. This is one area you need to pick up info.

Thanks VM,
I guess I really need to find out, i might have just wasted time here in Canada trying to find a better job so as to sponsor...when there are ways you can get around the system...
Thanks again..
Some guidelines to start with:
1.Incorporate a self-employed business.
2.If not find a good tax consultant.
3.Find a good employment agency which sends people on CASH jobs.
Got some clues ?.
Work on it.............
Good Luck!.
