Hello All,

My relative had applied first time and he got 5 years multiple entry visitor visa for canada.

Now his family is aplying for his immigration under family class in 2006. His visitor visa expires in 2007. What are the chances of his visitor visa being renewed in 2007 after immigration papers are filed in 2006 ?

Thanks .

Technically the chances of geting visitor's are even. He should, normally, get it.

However, nothing succeeds like success.

My parents applied for a Canadian visitor visa after their existing visa had expired. This was while their pr process was in progress. They didn't have any issues and didn't even have to go to Delhi, it was done via mail.

Just to add, my parents do have a lot of international travel and have visited the states and Canada multiple times in the past.

What difference frequent travel have on visa. My parents visit US once every year for past 5 years. At every entry immigration officer would scare them that, they observe them flying frequently to US. Now on next entry within short interval your visa will be canceled.

I think the basic premise of declining a visitor visa is the suspicion that someone will not leave the country after entering. If you have extensive travel in the past and relevant visas stamped on your passport, it sets up precedents saying you haven't used those to illegally stay back somewhere. There's no question it makes a difference.

Granted, the officers in the states are bit rude, but they've never scared my parents saying their visa will be cancelled. My parents have travelled at least 5 times to the states and Canada in the last 6 yrs.
