Hi,
I think it is http://www.careerconcept.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK
Thank you for sharing your experience. But how does it really work? How do you contact a potential employer? Walk into their booth? And what about wait times? Just curious so I know what to do the fair.
Thanks once again for your time.

I got my first job at a job fair.
At the job fair, i met the hiring manager and she interviewed me briefly. She told me that i was almost hired but should meet her in her office to discuss contracts and other stuff. Salary was discussed at the job fair too.
Next day I contacted her and fixed the meeting after two days when she gave me my job offer letter.
Though it depends on each employer and their HR procedures. Some may just collect resumes. If the position is to be filled quickly, they may even interview on the spot.
Th eone I attended worked like this:
The company had a booth. Generally there will be many people in the booth. I went and gave my resume to one of the persons sitting in the booth representing the company. When she looked at my resume, she went looking for the lady who hired me. She said This lady is the right person to interview you. The my boss told me to come to a small booth which was for interviews. She took me to the booth, asked me few questions about my educational background and experience. Then she asked me about the salary expecations. I quoted the figure and she gave me her card and said to call her next day to fix meeting with her in her office. The next day i called. We fixed the da to meet and during meeting she gave me offer letter.
Just walk in with your resume. Some companies collect resumes, some conduct interviews on the spot. Wait times could depend on how many people are waiting before you.
Do attend it, you never know when your hard work pays off. One's Canadian experience of entry-level or labour jobs might pay off & you might be able to get a job in your field.
How such experience helps you to get a job in your field, I've never been able to understand.
Rgds.

Let's make India a better place !
Good thing about this job fair is that it's for Newcomers or Visible minorities group. So the employers are aware about the kind of candidates they would be screening.
Whether it works or not? Well, if you are the right person at the right time it works. I was appling through workopolis for same job for more than a year. I didn't know which application was viewed. But I was lucky enough that my resume was viewed and I was consiedered for the interview after more than a year.
Workopolis had worked for me. My two jobs were from workopolis
I never had been to any jobfairs, however looking forward to visit this one, wanted to see what they really have in mind for newcomers/vis. min.
