Initiating this thread to find out anyone’s parent have received any follow-up
after medical interview done & how many months its takes to receive visa stamped passport back.
We applied in family class. Recieved request for medicals + Passport in Dec 2005 dispatched medicals along with passports by 3rd week of Dec. Anyone with similar application status? plz mesg
It generally takes two to three months in medical clearance from Ottawa. If Ottawa needs more medical tests to be performed then they would have asked by now.
After the request for visa for staming - it generally takes three to six weeks to get the passport back with stamped visa.

Hey
We have same case. I am in canada and dependent child in parents category under which my sister had sponsored my parents and me. We got requests for medical and passports in november. I got my medicals done in canada and sent them along with passport to delhi in dec and my parents got everything done in january. We are still waiting to hear from Delhi consulate. No idea how long does it take ..but I hear that norm is 3 months - 4months. It is very frustrating and waiting is killing rt?
BTW I hear that if you enquire abt your case , delhi ppl put the case behind by 2 months ( I think it said something like this in letter they sent us intially)
anywayz goodluck and keep me updated on your status.
Ciao
