Check with the local wal-mart they usually have night shifts to restock. Someone I knew used to work there 11.00pm 05.30...or something like that.

Also check courier companies...like UPS. They have night shifts too...someone else I know is doing it(unless I am mistaken)

Sorry I cannot be more helpful but lettting you know you do not have to limit yourself to factory jobs.

Check the local post office too. They have sorting jobs and pay very well. If I am not mistaken they pay $ 20 an hour.

Are you new to Canada ?.

Most of the jobs in Walmart, UPS, FEDEX and others are looking for atleast one to two years of Canadian experience which also involves warehouse(heavy lifting experience), shipper-receiver experience. They will check you out at the interview by asking you to lift a box repeatedly and as they are pros, they will know with in seconds whether you are used to these of work or not. They will also require verifiable references and mind you they call and have a chat with your former supervisor. The jobs in UPS, FEDEX and other companies will involve lifting uptil 70 Lbs in a repetitive way. You will be expected to unload a 40 Ft trailer in about one to two hours. Typically they pay $9.50 per hour to start with and also will not offer any medical benefits for the first year. They will need a Criminal Check also. You need to know some one inside the Company/Union to get in for some of these jobs. Many a times you need an insider/union guy to get you in permanently, if not they will lay you off after 3 months.

Walmart will be a good location if you can get in for night stocking position as they hire desis. But Walmart is el-cheapo in salary. They will make you work all night with out a break. The other locations like Loblaws, No Frills and others prefer whites or second generation desis.

What is your salary expectation?. What radius of area can you reach in the evening-night (11PM)?

Please post ASAP, may be I could help you.

"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"

I can give you few warehouse name.....locate them in directory and call them up to find which agency provides casual manpower to them. Job are light but very fast....Assured Logistics, SCM (Walmart), Rogers Teleshopping Channel, Matrix, Purolator.....call them to find out hiring procedure, they are in search of part timers for pick & pack
