Thanks a lot to all who put their commints.
Yesterday, we went to the agency which put her into that work and complained the same. They also tried to push to work. But as my wife not very great at communication, forcebly accepted to go the next day. But after coming home, my wife decided not to continue anyfurther.
We were thinking to update the same to the agency (about our decision - not to continue the work), by the time (just 20min. after actual work time) they themselves called us and asking why you did not go today!? We told the agency that, my wife is not feeling well and stopped going to work. This afternoon, the lady from agency called again and asking for a doctor note, to continue the work.
If we don't want to continue the work, do we get the money for which we worked? What we can do if they create any problem in giving that money.
thanks a lot.
reg,
"Desi in Ottawa"!!
Can you give us some contact where to get office administrative kind of jobs. Actually my wife is very good at MSOffice and also has around an year experience at home, as Office Administrator.
Thanks a lot.
its *always* better to quit than to just simply dissapear... infact you should *never* simply dissapear.. be honest with the agency and tell them you are not satisfied with the working conditions and you have decided to quit.. simple as that.. why are you making up false excuses about being sick???
as for paying you for the work you did, then if you worked.. then you will get paid... if they refuse to pay you (they may think they have a valid reason, specially since you faked being sick to get out of work two days into a new job) you can take them to small claims court...
bighead is right. Your wife should have called the agency and told them that she did not want to work there any more becuase of the incidents that happened and ask them to place her somewhere else. Do you think they will hire her again? What if other agencies ask for a reference in GTA?
Talk to Manpower. They got good contacts in office related work. They have a test in Excel/Word/Access. Should be easy to score high if your wife is good in MS Office.
Again, be professional. You dont live in desh anymore.
