I had this problem twice, each with a different manager.
Word has an excellent facility for putting your comments. So when you are making/revieweing a report, you can put to your comments/observations and send them to reviewer. The reviewer checks the document and comments, and can put his comments. He can also turn on the "track changes" features to make sure that original draft is not deleted till the document is finalized.
But I wonder how mnay people use this feature? People still cannot get over with the old fashioned style of printing out the document, (it can be 60 pages sometimes), and then red lining it without revieweing the comments
It is frustrating.
Meghal
well as they say using computers less paper wastage
In our company we use comments/track changes features a lot. These features comes in handy when working with Product Features Requirement/Marketing Features part of software development.
By end of 8 to 10 meetings, word doc becomes a big file of brain storming with all the info in front of you to verify and review.
