my friend who got his RPRF and a further requirement of his wife's birth certificate.

his AOR is sept 2003
first updation request in may 2008
updated documents sent in august 2008
recieved march first week RPRF and wife's birth certificate requirement

i would like to inform here that she has already sent her school leaving certificates.
Now what certificate CIC requires? She has no birth records in the hospital where she was born. she is 45 years old and long back there was no birth registeration in india as it is done now.
WHAT SHE IS SUPPOSED TO DO NOW?

I know of a case personally, where, the individual had no birth record and with the greasing of the palm obtained a birth certificate from the (MUMBAI) area and got his US Citizenship with it. It was four years ago. He is currently 85 years of age.

There are other means of obtaining the Birth certificate from them, if there are NO Birth records are available. It is a statement from them saying that there are no records on file. Hence the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) will be accepted as GOSPEL Truth. Or any other alternate record and get it 'authenticated' by a judiciary in the area where they hail from.

Good Luck.

Freddie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) could have been incomplete OR the time line is not contiguous. In short makes no sense to the officer because it is sent in JUMBLED form. It should be in chronological order with time dates also in order and should match the ones in his Passport stamping. (He has traveled out side of the country, many times, that is why?) If he had no travels, then there will be NONE in the sheet.

2) The documents submitted did not have a file number and they do not know who the father of the son is. And/Or who is the Son to the Father. The Papers are there, but they are unable to put them together.

That is how smart the applicant is. Want to hear once again, hope he fills in and identifies himself and with his file number, that way they can marry the details submitted with the application that he made and to the file number to which it should go to.

These are the reasons that I can come up with. So next time do it correctly and help them and yourself too.

Good Luck.

Freddie.

EDIT: Occasionally some of the documents do get issued in a language that they are not used to. It has to be in English or French.
