Hi,
I am in US for last 8 years and the date format here is mm/dd/yyyy.
When I received my Canadian visa stamping for PR it was 07/02/2004, so I thought its July 2nd 2004.
I booked my tickets and everything for 16th of this month.
I was checking my friend's visa and he has validity date of 30/08/2004. I realized little late that I miss interpreted the dates.
What should I do now??? What are my options???
Any advice is appreciated.
The date format for PR is usually dd/mm/yyyy, so you are right in interpreting 2nd July 2004 and your friend's date is 30 Aug 2004. I dont think there is a problem. Usually visa validity date is approx 1 year from date of medicals.
Margo.

You'll solve the mystery if you remember when you did your medicals. Like Margo said, the visa expires on the first anniversary of the medical.
If you have made the mistake, you should write to the embassy explaining your situation. If they don't listen or reply, get a lawyer who knows about Federal Court work.
