SON OF BENGAL

Through the jongole I am went
On shooting Tiger I am bent

Bustaard Tiger has eaten wife
No doubt I will avenge poor darling's life

Too much quiet, snakes and leeches
But I not fear these sons of beeches

Hearing loud noise I am jumping with start
But noise is coming from damn fool's heart

Taking care not to be fright
I am clutching rifle tight with eye to sight

Should Tiger come I will shoot and fall him down
Then like hero return to native town

Then through trees I am espying one cave
I am telling self - "Bholanath be brave"

I am now proceeding with too much care
From far I smell this Tiger's lair

My leg shaking, sweat coming, I start to pray
I think I will shoot Tiger some other day

Turning round I am going to flee
But Tiger giving bloody roar spotting this Bengalee

He bounding from cave like football player Pele
I run shouting "Kali Ma tumi kothay gele" (Kali Ma, where are you !)

Through the jongole I am running
With Tiger on my tail closer looming

I am a telling that never in life
I will risk again for my damn fool wife

Mr Natwar lal....what a great movie !!

Here is the song...I guess it was sung by Ashok Kumar ..another son of Bengal

mere pass aao mere dosto ek qissa suno

kai saal pehle ki ye baat hai
bolo na chup kyon ho gaye
bhayanak andheri si yeh raat mein
liye apni bandook main haath mein
ghane jangalon se guzarata hua kahi ja raha tha
ja raha tha
nahi aa raha tha
nahi ja raha tha

of fo aage bhi to bolo na
batata hu bata hu

ghadi thi andhera magar sakt tha
koi das sava das ka waqt tha

larazata tha koyal ki bhi kook se
bura haal hua us pe bhookh se
laga todane ek beri se ber
mere saamne a gaya ek sher

koi gighghi ??? banati nazar phir gayi
to bandook bhi haath se gir gayi

main lapka wo jhapka
main upar wo neeche
wo aage main peechhe
main ped pe wo peechhe
are bachaao -2
main daal-daal wo paat-paat
main paseena wo baag-baag
main sur mein wo taal mein
ye jangal paataal mein
bachaao bachaao
are bhaago re bhaago
are bhaago

phir kya hua
khuda ki qasam maza aa gaya
mujhe maar kar besaram kha gaya

kha gaya
lekin aap to zinda hain

are ye jeena bhi koi jeena hai lallu
aain

la la la ra la la

Mister India!!!

You are getting your actors mixed up. Mere Paas Aao was sung by Mr Bachhan. Rajesh Roshan can be credited giving Bachhan an entry into playback singing. Later came "Tu Maike Mat Jaiyyo", "Mere Angane Mein", and then "Rang Barse".

Ashok Kumar sang "Rail Gaadi" in Aashirwaad, "Piya Bawri" in Khoobsurat, plus some other songs. In fact, he gave playback singing for himself in his earlier movies like Achhut Kanya and likes

This was more of a spoof of Benglish (Bengali+English)
:cheers:

Nothing abt Amitabh Bachhan's song in Mr. Natwarlal

Meghal abt Asho Kumar, you forgot that song from Shaukeen

Chalo Haseen Geet (Y)ek banaye(n)
Woh geet fir banake gungunaye
Khayalon ko Chalo zara sajaye
Nashe mein kyon na jhoom jhoom jaaye(n)

The Y and N indicate the nasal tones of Ashok Kumar's voice in that song

Meghal,
Thanks for correcting me. Yes it was sung by Big B himelf.

It is nice to remember the great old time classics .

Success

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded. Bessie Stanley
