Yes, Pak is out, following today's upset loss to Ireland, having already lost to WI.

India is in danger of missing out as well. So, to qualify, India has to win its next 2 matches - Bermuda & SL. God forbid, even if it rains out in one of the matches, India stand the risk of missing the super 8 round!

Even if India win, and SL beats Bangladesh, all 3 teams will be tied with equal wins. The net run rate will come into factor then, to pick the 2 teams. So, India not only has to win, but win by big margins.

I think this tournament fixture was meant to eliminate the underdogs as early as possible - just to let them play a few games with the big boys, and then see them off quickly - so that the "real" games begin with the super 8.

But the flaw here is that just one bad game for a major team, and the minnows get through - as it happened today for Pak, and potentially for India too!

Bangladesh, I can believe, but who would have thought of Ireland making to the super 8?!

It's going to be a disaster for the marketing if both Pak & Ind lose out!
