There is an invisibile discrimination when it comes to getting a good marketing/sales (manager level) position in Canada it seems. Right when people are viewing your resume they tend to discard it (cant even pronounce your name right) even though you might have better qualifications and experience than the local (goras). I have had that experience and I wonder if people on the board have had the same exp as well.
When You are in Rome, do as the Romans do.
As a Sales Pro, I can tell You right now that if Your clients can't pronounce Your name, You have No Clients! You may want to seriously consider "Anglogizing" Your name (Like Krishna 2 Chris). To some, this may be a morally upsetting suggestion but to tell You the truth, it is not bad at all to have a "gora" sounding name. Your dharma doesn't get spoiled and it makes life a whole lot easier. It would not only get You more Clients, but may result in more Interview calls too

Guru Jee, You hit the head on the nail
You are right! We desis are largely responsible for the stereotypes that the phirangees associate with us. We can either complain about how the goras can't pronounce our names or don't know anything about our "great" culture, or we can adapt to our new surroundings and bring some positive change in the society in the process, as well.
As Our dear BioMed likes to say : "Change before You have to"
