I posted this message in another section (Student Visa), nobody replied. I guess it was not in the right place. I hope somebody will provide me some info in this section.
----
I am planning on moving to Quebec (Montreal), this December as an international student. The university I am planning on attending told me that I have to buy mandatory health insurance offered by them, but they are not going to offer health insurance for my family.
Does anybody know some websites that I can check to find out how much it is going to cost for my family to buy private health insurance? The insurance will be for my wife (32 years old) and two children (18 months and 2 months old).
Can somebody share how much you are paying for health insurance for your dependents if you are in student visa or some temporary visa (just to figure out it is not outrageous)?
Thanks
You can call and ask the companies if they will cover persons on student or temporary visa.
There should be a few companies listed at this http://www.healthquotes.ca/

You can probably get a better quote here:

At least, if you call and ask for a 'family plan', they'll be able to help. But, you can get an instant quote by filling in the green 'get a quote' form, and you'll get an instant quote (free) immediately on screen.
