Have always been interested in seeing the adventures of the shire folk on screen.
Did you hear that Peter Jackson may be doing 'The Hobbit' too?

I'm not a big Tolkien fan (never read any of his stuff), but still, this should be a good movie. Looks very promising indeed. Its a whopping 3 hours and X minutes, but I think it'll be worth it.

I just realised I should have posted this in the film section.

Anyway you know they are bringing LOTR 1 and LOTR 2 to the theatres just before the release of the 3rd .. for die hard (not the bruce willis die hard) fans to watch a 10hr marathon of frodo.

p.s. for some 2400 members, these forums are pretty quiet.

Cool. Didn't know they were bringing 1 and 2 in the theaters. I might actually check 1 out, since I've never seen it.

I agree. It has gotten a bit more quiet lately, partially because of the coming holiday season. I think it'll be a completely different story starting next year though.

I dont think i would have enjoyed the movies as much if I had not read the books. Thats the reason I'm waiting so eagerly for the last installation. At the least surely watch the first 2 parts. As good as they are the movies pale in comparision with tolkiens lushly woven tapestry of the fantasy.
