Hi,

I can see tons of jobs on workopolis and monster, these are the so called declared
jobs. I am sure there will be lots of jobs along with these jobs which is filled by network and other contacts.

If these jobs are only for Canadian experience people then from where these people
come. Either they will leave current job or any un-employed Canadian will fill the position, in either case there should not be un-employment.

If this is not the case then there should not be any people in Canada to fill these positions, coz Canadian company does not consider foreign experience.

Its really hard to understand, where these jobs are going?

Cheers
Raj

In my opinion, any North American experience would do to procure a job in Canada. Based on all the discussions on this board, I believe that Canada as such does not have anything to offer to its people other than the bitingly cold climate. It is purely dependant on US and once the US economy picks up, I guess the pressure will ease in Canada. It looks like Canada cannot handle these many people like the US. Sure, the number of people who land in Canada is much less than the people who go to UK or US. Just because the economies in these two countries are bad Canada is not able to do anything. I also believe that once you get into Canada going to UK / Aussie / NZ is easier. I got to know through few consultants that people move to these countries after a while. The Canadian immigrant community is very much floating when compared to US / UK / Aussie.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Okay, if I am negative... But why don't people who have got jobs already tells us how the procured it. I am sure people who have migrated earlier have got jobs. I know people who have settled there for ages bought house and etc. The economy is bad. Let me post a question here -- How long has the situation been like this? Is it after Sept 11? Now what has sept 11 got to do with Canada?

Who says Canadian economy is bad? In fact at the current time, it is the US economy that has been deteriorating. And while I can agree that the Canadian economy is tied to that of the US in a large way, I wonder what gave you the impression that we are at all dependent on the UK?

Well, if the Canadian economy is good, why are people(in this forum) finding it difficult to find jobs.
