Hard to say !
Montreal (70 kms) from there is a good place for cooks (relatively).
Ottawa has mostly govt. jobs. Hopefully the govt. servants and consultants to IT firms, spend a lot on food and give you a chance to work in one of the fine restaurants there.
Ottawa people can guide you better and they will.
