Check out this website:

Apparently you can also do a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Hey morning rain, thank you so much for that link. The situation for graphic designers looks pretty bleak for now, and this I have gathered not only from that link but also by posting on various forums. Most of them are of the opinion that graphic designers are just not a valued bunch in Canada. As much as I wish this were not true, it is and it's the sad reality of the profession I am choosing to be in, but you know what, I love what I do and I am willing to work my bottom off to get a decent job. The pay (16k starting :( ) looks so sad, isn't that minimum wage? (8~9CAD/hr?!) Nevertheless, coming to Canada is a dream, hell it's a passion of sorts and 15 years down the line I don't wanne kick myself for never having tried. That said, I cannot be in denial about the sorry state of the economy in general but it's a choice I'm making, so I'm going to stick with it. Thanks again for all the help, and who knows, I might be amongst the lucky few who get a job in a design studio where they actually value their designers ;)

As for doing Bachelors in Fine Arts, I wish I could but I cannot afford that course.4 years of tuition, no way. If I had that money I would have studied at Emily carr or ONCAD or ACAD but I don't, so I have to make do with this course.

My cousin is a graphic designer. She is employed by a city department. They pay much better than minimum wage.
You can start your own business or look for opportunities (if you are able to move once you graduate)..

Hey, good to know your cousin is getting better then minimum wage. As for starting my own business is concerned, not until I get a PR cause I need to show the provincial govt that I have a stable job before applying for MPNP. Thanks again for your help!
