Hi,
We are planning to move to Waterloo in August,2006 from Mississauga. We do not have any idea about Waterloo for rental accommodation etc.Is any one from India or pakistan, who may guide us for relocation at Waterloo? Any advice on the settlement would be great help.I got a job near coestgo mall.
Thanks.
It is better to visit Waterloo once and look around for apartments near where you are planning to work. There are some good apartments near conestoga mall. I don't know what type of accomodataion you are seeking. Good luck.

Westcourt estates is a good place to live
you are closeo to the university if you wanna go for a walk or something. This is a max 15 min drive to connestoga mall. By bus i'd say max half hour. Take #8 or #12 and then switch over to #7. You can also stay on #12 and it will take you there, but that might take you longer. the website is.

You'd be predominantly surrounded by students, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I am guessing if your' a sikh the best place to make friends would be at your religious institution. I think there is a gurdwara on Victoria street. You'd need a car to get there.
That part of waterloo is still pretty lively since you'd see students all the time. The major bus route is # 7 that also happens to go to connestoga mall and also the other bigger mall in kitchener, fairview. So if you'r looking for a place it'd be best to live close to a bus stop where 7 runs.
There are some condos and apts near weber and king on weber. You can check them out
gl finding a place, you'd still need to go to waterloo to check the places out atleast once. You might have to commit to a year or 8 month lease.
