HI all
I am Jyothi and both me and my husband are doctors.
We both have been a offered a job in Stratford area.We want to live in Waterloo/Kitchener area and commute daily for work.
Could any one please tell me good areas to live in Waterloo/Kitchener area and if there are places where there a lot of Indians.
I have two daugthers-11 and 7 year old and any information about good schools in the area would be of great help to me
Thanks in advance
Jyothi
If you are driving to Stratford you probably are driving hwy 7/8.
Closest apartment community is on Fisher Hallman /ottawa st - westmount. I donot know good schools, but there are schools in the vicinity. We all have to send children to the school in our area unless plan is to go privite school.
If you are looking for detached housing / rental detached housing please look around Sunrise shopping center which is closest exit to 7/8, or as well you can drive to Trussler Rd and join 7/8. Other place to look for housing is on Ira Needle Blvd which joins to Trussler. This is a new community.
One exit back would be homer watson which is very well developed and closer to DT KW
Any questions please let us know. If you need to talk please pm we can provide phone #.
For public school ratings, you can check http://ontario.compareschoolrankings.org/ChooseReport.aspx. It will be tough to get all the things you are looking for in one location, i.e., good school, lot of indians, easy commute.

Sunrise mall area and Activa avenue etc and the Fischer Hallman /Ottawa area are the best bet with Shopping and Highway 7/8 all close by.
By the way, living in West Kitchener and commuting to Stratford makes sense. There are also several new communities in the area so if you want to settle down by buying a house, that would be ideal as well
