Why do some people get interview with Judges for their Citizenship?
If some one has not told the truth on their Citizenship applications regarding physical presence than do the Judges take any action against those people. I have heard that they just tell those people to wait and apply later on for Citizenship? If this is true than why do they take away some ones citizenship later on if they find out that they had lied on the application?
Do US and Canada share tax data/H1/ or any data?
If someones Citizenship is taken away, do they also take away Their PR status, or do they leave their PR? There is something in the Citizenship application which states something like you can't apply for Citizenship if it was revoked in the last five years.
Example, if some one became a citizen and then left Canada for five years. After lets say these five years his Citizenshp was taken away. Since at the time his Citizenship was taken away, he also wouldn't meet the PR status requirements (2 out of 5 years rule) since he was absent from the country for the last five years. Now in this case would they take away his PR status also, or do those requirements (2 out of 5 years physical presence rule) start from the day his Citizenship is taken away.
Another scenario, example some one didn't tell the truth about their physical presence on their PR card application (I don't mean the applciation they filed for immigration but I mean the application that you file just to get your Permanent Resident card). Now say that they also told the same on their Citizenship application as well. In this case if their Citizenship is taken away, would they also take away their PR since they lied on their PR card application (not the immigration application)
How many cases of Citizenship being taken away from some one are done each year and how hard is it to take some ones Citizenship?
Thanks
1. if some one lied on their citizenship app then chances are u are denied it.
2. it is up to the judge to decide.\
3. citizen ship cannot be revoked it is only in very extreme cases that somthing like this happens like a criminal conviction even then it is very rare.
4. if you are denied citizenship and asked to apply again then you still get to keep your cpr card.
it is not recommended that u lie on your app coz it is only 3 yrs that u need to show. that should not be difficult. if you get a tough judge he might take stronger action. lieing on a gov form can go on your permanant record.
it really is not worth it
