Hi CDs, Thanks a lot for the super fast replies for my previous postings, A lots of guys asked me to just stay put in India, mmmmm Iam giving it a serious thought. But I still haven't got any reply from any doctors, still waiting. Why is that all you guys seem to be a frustrated lot, I can't understand, we all plan soo much for our future and do it, but is it that most of you miscalculated or mislead about canada. This is because here we are given an such a positive image about canada, the best country to live in the world for the past 7 yrs or so etc. Views of people who are there in canada are totally in two opposite poles, some say it is good (very few) others feel they have commited a blunder by settling down there, it make things very hard for us in India to decide on something like this. Everyone says things in general, it would be helpful for us if someone could guide us exactly as to what a doctor has to go through there before settling, like the types of exams, internship etc and how tough they are etc. Iam thankfull for the guys who have already given me a reply cause it has made me think and work more. CYA.By the way if someone knows one Dr.Sanjay Dave please send me his details, he is a six footer, muscular, good looking, fun loving guy. (Sanjay u bloody well give me a treat for this intro )
AFAIK, there are no doctors in this forum.
Put "carribean medicine open letter" in google and it will take you to a site that has some information you are looking for. I do not know if the information there is 100% true or not since that site is also selling something else.
You can search for a doctor in ontario through http://www.cpso.on.ca/ but there is no Dr. Sanjay Dave there.

drjones,
This is really a very simple and straight forward question but with very long, complicated and varying answers. Views on this changes with every person at different times, places and situations. I am sure some of forum members who are crying over coming to Canada now, may laugh on this after few years. May be not...
I know one doctor friend here (I am an engineer), who came to Canada about 22 years back. He (and his wife) had to struggle a lot for first 2-3 years. Then they started settling. Now (I think) he is all set. But sometimes when he had a visit to India, he is amassed at the money (some) people have there. So this is comparative term as well.
I remember one movie where Jacky Sherrof tells his three daughters (one is played by Karishma) "We are poor with only few millions, 2-3 bungalows and 5-6 cars. See our neighbors they have..."
