Appreciate real much your comments.. I didnt even had a second thought about this situation until I see Kunato's post in the other thread which made me panic:
"I know of a case where the individual claimed to have fulfilled 1095 days of physical presence, applied from within Canada, but was living outside of Canada while his application was in process. The CIC judge questioned his 1095 of physical presence and took his after-application absence from Canada as "not established in Canada". THe appeal was rejected"

Here is the situation: My wife applied for citizenship on August 2007. She had 1105 days of physical presence. She specified all the absences clearly and everything is legit.
She went to India in October to attend to her brother's marriage. She stayed back to do an IT course; and to escape the winter; and it is festival season; and our parents want to spend sometime with our daughter. She will be coming back February 1st week.
In december CIC sent a letter asking for copy of her passport (I dont know why they needed it). As I didnt have a copy of her passport, I asked her to mail it from India. After receiving it I sent it to CIC sometime in January 2nd week...

I know this is not exactly the same as the one described by Kunato .. My wife just took vacation and will be back in couple of days.. Do you guys see any problem with this? Will CIC find something wrong with this? I didnt find anything on CIC website that we cannot leave Canada until citizenship application is processed completely.

There is no such rule that says you cannot leave the country after applying for citizenship. It would be best to inform CIC if after filing for citizenship you go on vacation outside Canada.
