Lt. N. Parthiban son of Tamil Selvi and Major V. Natarajan (Retired) was killed in an encounter with militants near LoC in J&K on Saturday. The young officer had spoken to his parents over phone on Friday, stating that his team had killed some militants and he himself had shot dead three of them in the LoC area. His father himself had served in Kargil during the conflict and retired last year. Though Parthiban had enrolled for his M.Sc. in Physics, he left the same to join the army when the call came from Officers Training Academy. After training Lt. Parthiban joined 5 JAK Light Infantry in March this year. His friends describe him as “patriotic, committed and willing to help others”. During his NCC days in college he was very good in firing and map reading and had received gold medals for the same.
The supreme sacrifice made by defence personnel like Parthiban is the only hope we have for the unity and integrity of our country.

We salute this young officer who laid his life for us and also his brave parents who must be trying trying to cope without him---jai hind
Please watch the movie called Keerthi Chakra/Araan to see the grim reality in Kashmir.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
Brave and patriotic soldiers are our first , last and only line of defence against the terrorists who are hell bent on capturing India.
Unfortunately there is no line of defence againt wily Indian politicians whose political correctness had calls for clemency to attackers of parliament.
If the jawans did not stop terrorists from entering into parliament by laying their lives , the politicians would not be alive today and give pardon appeals for the very terrorists who wanted to kill them .
