CD's,
The board already knows that 2 people were laid off in our office of 10. Our boss made this decision based on the fact that 5 other technical people ( + an associate and the boss) would be able to handle the work in the office.
Of the 5 technical people 2 were husband and wife and were desi's and were recommended by me to the office. On friday, it seems that the wife had a tiff/ fight with the associate of the office. On sat. they wrote a nasty e-mail to the boss , complaining in vulgur terms against the associate and also told that they will not come to work from Monday.
On monday, the boss called me and showed me the letter. The female associate was crying most of the time that i was reading the letter. She is around 60 and is a single mother. I was very angry with the desi couple for having insulted a senior person in our office for no fault of her's. He (the boss) is thinking of taking a defamation lawsuit against the couple for writing vulgur / unprofessional remarks against the associate. The boss also told me that i will not be included in the lawsuit which is a relief for me.
I called the Desi couple yesterday and told them that the boss was going to slap a lawsuit against them and after hearing that they said that if he was going to slap a lawsuit against them, then they will put a counter lawsuit against him alleging that he made them work for around 60 hrs. a week without overtime in return. (Note- They were on yearly salary and as permanent employees)
I will keep the forum informed about the developments (if any and if acceptable to the moderators).
The contents of the letter is still vivid in my memory but i will not type in the contents of the letter in this board as it's contents is irrelavant to the purpose of this thread. I am posting this post ONLY to inform / request desi's who want to quit their jobs to do so in a peaceful way and not by writing an e-mail listing their grivences as that piece of information could be used against them by the employer.

Hi TK,
I was wondering the same thing as maharaj..
i mean, why is that your life is full of action, suspense, thrill... all in the same breath... when my life is plain, boring, same old job, same house search
etc
Consider your recent adventures:
1) Your near brush with the US homeland security where you almost jumped across the border...accidentally, that is...
2) Your deadly showdown with a restaurent owner over unfair treatment....then there is that secret female friend who accompanies you to restaurants...a la matahari..
3) The recent fracas at your office with one of your colleague Mr. KKK Fr**nk..
4) Now, you are caught in the line of fire between your boss and the 'never-say-never-die' couple...
I mean, please tell me what should i do to be in your shoes...
I say, lets all honor TK and thank him for putting us desi's on the forefront...
I got to tell you, now a days... i just logon to CD just to see what's happening in TK's world...
TK saab da jawab nahin.. keep it coming..
seenappa(the CD with a boring life )
LOL
Not to mention, discouraging prospective desis from coming to Canada
Most of these are imaginative, I believe.
If this happens then what????????
TK will be writing a book shortly.
