One of my friend is on work permit here and getting married during his trip to India in January and would like to bring his wife with him. Assuming that canadian visa process will be pretty hectic can you please suggest how much time it might take to get the spouse visa from Delhi office ? It would be great if you guys can give some insight into detailed procedures or documents required..

Spouse visa doesn't take more than 1 month.
The documentation is same as that when you applied, along with your passport and work permit copies.
And, of course, marriage certificate (in original).

And, as you might already have known, if the visa is for more than six months, spouse also nedds to go for medicals.
