I am an international student in Canada holding an open work permit,I am just wondering if my bf who is studying in UK(nationality is Indian) can come over here on visitor visa and get married with me. If we can get married can his status be changed into spouse visa and apply for work permit while he is still here. He has enough funds to show as he has been doing part time job for the past 6 months and he will be graduating in march 2012. He is planning to apply for visitor visa this month.So can we get married when he comes here on a visitor visa or will it be impossible to do?

YES. You can get married here .... and after that he is eligible ta o get work permit. Let him plan the visit visa carefully.
