Are the Ebay listings suggesting to sell codes to watch SAT/Cable TV on your free without subscription, for real? Does anyone know if they work?

They are usually a collection of videostreams from websites like CBC, etc. http://www.cbc.ca/video/#

The software and websites selling subscription work the same way.
