Life has become very boring and monotonous. Does anyone else feel the same ? Same job, cooking, cleaning, child care, laundry, grocery, pay bills etc etc.
What do you do to make it better ?
I know the answers movie / restaurant / develop hobbies / reading / music / study ..........I cant do all this with a one year old. And I know I can leave him with baby sitter but I prefer not to as Mon to fri he already goes there and i would rather keep him with me atleast on weekends.
I can take him with me but then its more of a headache then entertainment.
Any comments ? Other sakhis --your input ?

Advice is free – lessons I charge for!!
What do you feel passionate about? Something you do that makes you happy, truly happy? Is it reading, painting, going for walks, singing, writing poetry?
Making and keeping life unboring is not a matter of just filling in time, it's about doing something that fulfills a need inside you.
Think about what's important to you and whamakes you happy, and it does not always have to be about the kids...and then do it! Even if you do whatever it is just once a week...at least you will be doing smething you truly enjoy and maybe then you won't feel like life is so boring...
If all that fails...then don't forget to invite me to that dinner party!

I guess, your one year old baby is asking the same question.
READ IT FROM OTHER VIEW POINT, AS IF YOUR BABY IS ASKING IT

WELL, MY DEAR....LIFE IS TO ENJOY....ENJOY IN THE WAY IT COMES TO YOU. BE HAPPY, JUST FIND ONE REASON TO BE HAPPY AND ENJOY IT.
YOU MAY HAVE HUNDREDS OF REASON NOT TO DO A THING, JUST FIND ONE REASON TO DO IT.
YOUR SON IS THE PLEASURE OF YOUR LIFE, FIND YOUR HAPPINESS IN HIM RATHER SEARCHING AND ASKING ELSEWHERE.
Aashu,
Your experience is exactly the same as mine. I have got dead bored of doing a monotonous work life, working 7 days a week to make my ends meet. At times, I think of just going to the UAE to find work.
But I have found that the happiest times of my life are when i am at home with my infant. This is how i make my life happy while with an Infant.
On weekday, when i come from the office, I make it a point to play with the baby while another person in my family cooks. We switch on the TV and the infant (15 months) watches the TV for hours art stretch. Also you have to see that you and your partner come home and leave home at the same time so that when one cooks, other can play with the child
On weekends, I first make the Infant happy before i head to work. I do this by taking the the infant to IKEA on sat.. Not only do IKEA Provide nutritious meals for a $ (Veg options also available), they also provide area for the child to play Free of Charge. There are also lots of Toys that the infant can play with inside the store. I also allow the Infant to sleep in IKEA store Beds, Sofa's, Tables etc.. so that the Infant feels that it is in a Millionare's house on sat. morning. I also take the Infant to the shopping malls and when the infant sleeps, put the infant in the home bed and leave for work.
On sunday's we go to Church and they provide Free muffins (sometimes) for the infant.
As we are in Canada without our family or near and dear ones, we are bound to feel lonely. We should think to overcome this.
You can buy Roti's and Subji's outside on weekday and drive to diff. shopping malls on weekday evenings to enjoy time outside with your child.
On weekends you can also go to some nearby places (like Barries, Niagra falls, Shopping centres, Temples, Gurudhuwara's). You can also make some Desi friends and try to visit each other when time permits. If you think of how best you can utilise your time to play/ be with the infant, it will solve a lot of problems.
