I was just wondering, what do our desi-gang do when they are not at work or not doing anything of groceries, laundry, babysitting, etc!

I remember driving down 2 hrs for a 3-4 hours hiking trails or jogging for an hour then muching on fruits n nuts and water and returning back.
Or reading for few moments and watching some funny movie or tv serial.

But the only things that increases with time is your responsibilities and restrictions ;).

How do you keepup with your hobbies ? Give up anyting ? Take up anything ? And how does the factor of growing age/responsibility drives ?

Ummm...interesting question.:)

All year around: I read a lot - books, magazines, articles - online, offline - cheap and/or free. As time, budget and weather permits, I go flying. I fly the single engine cessnas (one of my most satisfying activities)

Winter: Usually home improvement projects inside the house and annoy my cats as much as they would take it:)

Summer: Home improvement projects outside the house, travel with spouse on short duration vacation trips.

All day at work: post stuff on CD ;) :D

There are three types of people:

People who have all the time but no money to spend

People who have all the money but no time to spend

And

People who have no time and no money

I happen to fall in the third category in Canada.:D

I love to read and when I dont have time to pick up a book I enjoy reading e-books or short stories.

I enjoy taking walks with our two dogs and in the summer hiking (though im afraid of meeting a bear in the backwoods!)

Long hard days at work require at least one episode of Simpsons, Everybody Loves Raymond etc..

I also enjoy games - especially online flash games..

But on a more serious note I love to read. However less time I have, I remember to read something or the other. And yes watch movies. Back home I used to very choosy but I here I watch anything as long it is interesting.

I would love to own a model airplane – those remote controlled ones. I know there are some clubs and stuff like that over here. But cannot find the right direction.

I alternate between two states.

One where I have a lot of time on my hands and donot know how to spend it.

During this time, I watch news at 5.30 (Global), 6.00(City TV), 7.00(CBC) and 8.00(CNN Paula Zahn). I am not a big fan of movies. I research every topic that cathces my interest.

Another state is where I absolutely have no time. I travel for work and whenever i am in Toronto, donot leave the house at all. Even on the weekends i am busy trying book taxis, ait ticket, hotel etc.

Since i am replying to so many CD posts, my current state is too much time on my hand.
