I have a Question - Since Passport is required for All Canadian Travellers 'Flying' into US.
Rather than Flying directly to Florida from Toronto ... Will it be possible to Drive upto Buffalo and Fly?

-- Sure, since the passport is not required (yet) to cross the border by land.
Better check with the airlines you are planning to fly within US as they may ask for your PP even if you are flying within US ...

Nope, you do not need a passport for flying wihin the US. They just need a photo ID - which is your cdn driver's licence.

Interesting you brought the pp requirements within US. While at the security check at Phoenix back to Detroit, I was asked to produce a passport for an ID. I challenged the guy and basically pissed off a TSA "official".
Anyway, I did speak to his supervisor and he said that PP is not a requirement, but without an US issued ID, foreign citizens may be subject to additional screening, and therefore, PP would be very helpful and encouraged.
Of course, all these requirements did not exist in Detroit, Minneapolis, Houston or any other airports that I have been flying lately. So, my guess is that Pheonix folks are partly pulling "rules" off their rear end and partly they like PPs since they are only less than 100 miles from the Mexican border.
The airport in McAllen, Texas, located less than 20 miles from the MX border have permanent US customs officers posted who diligently check everyone's every page of the passport or any other proof of citizenship. These officers also walk around the gate area and randomly question passengers and check their documentation.
