Dear Friends,
We are in the process of migration. At present we are in the Gulf and settled comfortably. We have a 4 year old son who has just started schooling.
We are expecting our immigration papers to arrive by the end of this year.I would like to know how good are the job aspects over there for us. Whether the living standards & conditions are good?

Sujata,
This is perhaps a difficult questions. You might want to approach this from a different perspective. Just take a pen and paper and write down the plus and minus and you will see that you are able to reconcile.
I lived in US and Middle East and in both the places I was doing economically well still I preferred to move because of my priorities.
From my view, Canada isn't really the best but at the same time you can't let it down. Its bit expensive compared to US and middle east (not really expensive than India) but again as the time pass, people will figure out a way to earn more through the business than just their 9to5.
My best suggestion is, spend a month going through this forum and few other internet forums you will get the message.

You can use job sites like workopolis.ca or job search engine like http://www.jobry.com" target="_blank">www.jobry.com to see how many jobs are available in the field you are looking for (it is not 100% accurate since some companies do not take out advertisements even after the position is filled and not all jobs are advertised). Also check to see if you require license, etc., for your profession. http://www.workdestinations.org/occupation_keyword_search.jsp?lang=en" target="_blank">http://www.workdestinations.org/occupation_keyword_search.jsp?lang=en
