Dear Sir,
Our family is currently holding a Canadian immigrant visa for me, my husband & our 4 year old daughter. We need to land in Canada by the end of December to get our PR status. My query is I am currently carrying my second child and am due any time now. I would like to know, if we can take our second child on a visit visa and apply for a PR after landing in Canada. Or please suggest any other ways of taking a newborn to Canada in these circumstances.
Also any one who can provide valuable comments & suggestions on immigrating to Canada, information like cost of living, health & Studies for children (Schools) , living conditions for Indians and weather conditions will be highly valuable.
Dear Ramesh,
Plse note that if ever to leave your country while not advising the canadian visa office that you've had a second child. It means that you are definitely closing the doors over this child. The canadian authorities won't recognize him as being part of your family.
The chance of your baby having a visitor's visa is very low.
The best thing to do is either land there and have the baby in Canada but if is not possible, then it is better to have the baby in the country you are right now, return the visa for the 3 of you to the visa office and then add the new born as another dependant.
This will not affect your application nor your aproved visa but it will only take some more time to stamp the baby's visa and return it back to you.
Anytime,
Kayamba
Dear sir
Thanks for your prompt reply. Actually our visa is valid until 23rd Dec 2005 and we are expecting the new baby by 18th Oct 2005. I checked with one of immigration consultant in Dubai and he advised me that i need to apply for new baby's visa as soon as his or her passport is ready. Then it will take minimum of 3 to 4 months to process. If we submit all our visa's to Canadian embassy in UK, then we cannot land in Canada before expiry of visa i.e 23rd Dec 2005. Could you please advise whether i can choose any of the following options:
1. Can we request Candian Embassy in UK to extend our visa till we get a new visa for new born baby?
2. If they didn't agree to extend the visa, then can i take my new born on a visit visa and get her or his visa stamped in Canada?
Please advise so that we can proceed accordingly.
Regards
Ramesh
As far as I know, as soon as you give birth to your baby, the visa should be sent back to the Visa office explaining your situation so that the visa officer may issue a new one for the baby + change the validity of yours.
This process may take some months.
Kindly wait for for Massood's reply before taking any steps.

ka_yamba already explained to you that if u land in Canada without informing the embassy about the newborn, you'll regret it for the rest of your life.
If you inform the embassy, then you should start procedures for including the new born in your application. This will mean your visas will have to be returned.
I was going to suggest landing before baby is born but realized that it might be to late to exercise this option.

Good luck.

and Good Luck for your immigration procedures...
Ciao
Dear Masood
Thanks for your advise. Actually i have planned to land in Canada alone (without my family) during 1st week of November to appear for interview which is already lined up and get my PR. My plan is to bring my family in my next trip in December to Canada. I understand that as a PR, i can apply for a visit visa for my new born baby and then take her with me to Canada. Then process her PR in Canada.
Is it possible? Please advise. Moreover i would like to inform you that i have blessed with a baby girl on 15th Oct 2005.
Please let me know your expert opinion.
Regards
Ramesh
