Can someone help me here. I appleid for Canadian immigration in 2002. I had my interview at the Canadian High Commission in Dec 03. I just received a letter to go for my medical.

I want to delay my landing for couple of years. Is it possible?

If I Land in say June 04, I want to be bcak to India in three months due to my obligations here. It's my understadning that the new law requires a landed immigrant to stay in Canada for at least 2 years out of a period of 5 years.

Bottom line:
I want to delay landing at least two years.
OR I land in jun 2004 but want to go back. Want to move permanently 2007 toCanada. Thanks

you can land in 2004, go back and return in 2007 keeping in mind the "2-out-of-5 years" rule

Hi csa,
Can u plase let me know in which month of 2002 u applied for immigration. I assume u applied under independent catagory from new delhi port.

It is interesting to know , you applied in 2002 and got IW in 2003.
Which Visa post you applied??.

I am new member over here , I applied in April 2002 at Delhi.
Want to know if CHC Delhi has started processing post Jan 2002 files or not.
